The March for Our Lives: Road to Change ended its voter registration tour across the US in Newtown, CT on August 12, 2018. Parkland students were joined on the stage by youth from Newtown, Hartford, New York, Chicago, Milwaukee to tell how they will work for political change.

Newtown Gun Violence Rally in Front of the NSSF

They were joined by people from Newtown, neighboring towns, and Connecticut Against Gun Violence, Brady Campaign, Enough Campaign, and the Greenwich Council Against Gun Violence. Newtown marchers joined hundreds of moms and dads, brothers and sisters crossing the Brooklyn Bridge and rallying in front of City Hall in Manhattan to demand an end to the epidemic of gun violence. The march was organized by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. June 14, 2014.

Newtown Returns to Washington for Stronger Gun Legislation

A busload from Newtown returned to Washington on June 12-13, 2013 to push Congress for stronger gun legislation. We visited our congresswoman Elizabeth Esty. We hand-delivered names of gun violence victims and letters signed by 80 organizations representing 10 million people who demand action. We asked members of Congress to support a bill requiring universal background checks on gun purchases.
